The former television chef is often given credit for introducing French cuisine to Americans, but it was actually Jefferson’s French-trained chef who served up his favorite recipes from Paris more than two centuries ago. A brilliant scholar, statesman, patriot, gardener, author and president, Jefferson may best be remembered for his culinary passion and love of fine wine.
